The workshop “Hand skills in activities of daily living” was held at the “Dr. Miroslav Zotović Institute” from 12-14 October 2017.
The workshop was led by Dubravko Jurišić, an occupational therapist from the Daily Center for Rehabilitation of Children and Youth “Mali Dom” from Zagreb, who has many years of experience in practical and educational work.
The Workshop was attended by 17 occupational therapists of the Institute, where they adopted theoretical and practical knowledge from the catching skills, its neurophysiological importance and development. Theoretical settings were followed by practical workshops. Lectures, discussions, practical workshops and analysis of video footage have inspired the thinking about the use of various types of grips necessary for daily functioning.
The workshop was an initial step in acquiring knowledge and skills in this field that will be applied in everyday work.
